Photo Colorization

Digital photo colorization can let you see your black and white photos in a whole new way! The original black and white photo remains untouched, unlike in old techniques. Through the magic of digital technology, you can get beautiful, life like color added to the full photo, choose to colorize only certain parts of an image for an artistic look, or even change the color of someone's clothes. The choices are endless, and it is up to you to use your imagination.

 

Nicole I. Hamilton is an experienced graphic designer and will colorize your photo by hand to ensure a realistic look. She does not use an automatic photo coloring program. She can work with you to achieve the colors you want.

Colorizing a Photo, Step by Step

The original size 5"X 7" black and white image. Yellowed with age.	After a high quality scan, the image is converted to true black and white to remove the yellow hue.	Flat color is put on the larger areas of the image. In this case, the skin, dress, and background.
Color is added to the smaller details in the image.		The final colorized image after some minor tonal adjustments.
