Photo Restoration
Digital
photo restoration is one of the most amazing uses
of digital imaging technology. Practically any flaw
can be corrected, and even severely damaged photos
can be restored to their original glory. Your irreplaceable
photos can be restored, printed, and saved on disc
to share with future generations. Nicole I. Hamilton
restores each photo carefully, ensuring correction
of even tiny flaws. You can order prints, or your
restored photos can be converted to a variety of formats
for easy opening and printing right in your own home.
Your photo can be repaired whether it is hard copy,
digital, or needs to be scanned from a negative.
Photo
restoration varies in price depending on the severity
of the damage. For a free estimate, please send your
photo and a brief e-mail to pencilsandpixelsart@yahoo.com.

The
original photo, size 1.5"X 2".
Blurriness, yellowing, and darkening
of the edges is very evident. Also has several
small surface scratches and flaws. |
After
a high quality scan, the first correction is to
remove the yellow hue. |
Next,
the photo has some minor tonal correction and
cropping/painting to eliminate the black edges. |
|
 |
|
| By
zooming in and examining each part of the photo,
small surface flaws and scratches are removed
from all sections of the image. |
The
final colorized image after some small tonal
adjustments and a new background.
