About Fine Art
I
create fine art using my favorite mediums, graphite
and charcoal pencils, pastel pencils, and watercolor
pencils. Occasionally I branch out and use colored
pencils or another medium. I usually draw on Strathmore
Bristol Paper, but also use the Strathmore Artagain
or Toned paper line. I like to experiment with combining
different mediums and papers to see what effects I
can create.
Most
of my work is realistic, and I strive to incorporate
as much detail as possible. Some of my pieces are
whimsical. I often work from my own photos, or strictly
from imagination. The subjects of my work vary, but
they include people, animals, and still life.
"I
have learned that what I have not drawn I have
never really seen, and that when I start drawing
an ordinary thing, I realize how extraordinary
it is, sheer miracle."

Some
of the pieces available in my fine art gallery as
prints were portrait commissions. I offer prints of
certain portraits when the customer has no objection.
Prints from portraits increase the value of the original
art work.
